How to Enjoy the Garden with Kids

Opportunities for families are blooming all year at Toledo Botanical Garden. For more information or ideas, please contact our Environmental Educators directly at 419-536-5589 or education@toledogarden.org.

The Children’s Education Department has a booth or table with children's activities at many special events that take place at the Garden, including Crosby Festival of the Arts, Open Art Days, and Taste of Diversity.

A scavenger hunt can be picked up at the Administrative Office for families to enjoy while discovering the Garden (we ask that you return the colorful laminated sheets for reuse when you are done).

You can hold a children's birthday party with our two hour Pioneer Living or Early Sprouts parties, starting at $75.00 (no refreshments provided).

Our Children’s Summer Series is a popular two hour camp offered throughout the summer with eight rotating topics to choose from.

Each issue of Cultivation magazine includes a children's page with new games and a “Come and See” column highlighting seasonal things to do at the Garden.

Enriching your life through gardens, the arts and nature.
