Back-to-School Series
Introducing our newest series of presentations available for your club or group! Learn about our educational efforts at TBG, where we believe that for a love of nature to continue in future generations, we must “plant seeds of knowledge in growing minds”!

  • Who wants to be a Gardener?
Using activities from our education programs, your group will compete for the “big money” while identifying seeds and bird sounds. Don’t worry, prior gardening knowledge is not required. After all, if 3rd graders can do it, so can you!
  • A Wealth of Water
The earth has been nicknamed the water planet, but do you know why? In this eye-opening activity, taken from our education curriculum, we will take a look at the distribution of the earth’s water. Just for fun, we will use money to create a bank and decide how to “invest” in this important natural resource.
  • Resource Pizza
Our landfills are filling up at an alarming rate, using valuable land and costing consumers large sums for disposal. Gardeners and conservationists alike agree that much of this trash could be utilized to improve and enrich the soil. In this fun activity, participants will create a trash pie and discuss ways to reduce trash and fortify our soil.

If you would like to schedule one of our speakers for your next group meeting, please contact Patty Toneff at (419) 936-2986 or email programs@toledogarden.org.
