Job Coach

Toledo Botanical Garden (TBG) is seeking a qualified leader to join our diverse community gardening and urban agriculture team working through the Toledo GROWs program, the community garden outreach of Toledo Botanical Garden, as a Job Coach. This is a part-time position, 24 hours per week. This position is funded¬† through a partnership with the Lucas County Department of Juvenile Justice, and will work with another Job Coach to oversee the court’s CITE (Community Integration and Training for Employment) clients as they receive job skills training at Toledo GROWs within the platform of community gardening and urban agriculture. Qualified applicants will have experience working with delinquent youth, as well as carpentry and building/property maintenance skills.

Urban Farm Assistant

Toledo Botanical Garden (TBG) is seeking a qualified leader to join our diverse community gardening and urban agriculture team working through the Toledo GROWs program, the community garden outreach of Toledo Botanical Garden, as an Urban Farm Assistant. This is a year-round, part-time position with workers compensation. Evening and weekend hours will be required. This position will be the primary staff person responsible for weekend and holiday chores of greenhouse oversight and animals (REQUIRED on both Saturdays AND Sundays) at our Urban Farm Campus at 900 Oneida Street. Hours and days during the workweek are flexible. In addition, this position has the potential to increase to full-time hours during the peak of the growing season.

Horticulturist

Toledo Botanical Garden (TBG) is celebrating 50 years as a public garden in 2015 and is seeking a hands-on, creative and knowledgeable Horticulturist to join in the celebration. This is a full time, 40 hours per week position that requires some evening and weekend work as well as supporting special events. This position oversees and maintains the South Garden, which includes the Perennial Garden, Hill Ditch (a restored riparian area and stream), The Grand Allee and South Entrance including the Bancroft Properties. The ideal candidate is a passionate plants person willing to get their hands dirty while working independently and as a member of the proud TBG Horticulture Team.
