Toledo GROWs – Youth Educator

Toledo GROWs, the community garden outreach of Toledo Botanical Garden, is seeking a qualified leader to join our diverse community gardening and urban agriculture team as a Youth Educator.

This is a part-time position, 20-24 hours per week, with the primary responsibility of establishing and developing meaningful and creative garden-based experiences for area youth. Qualified applicants will have experience working with youth, experience in gardening, and ideally hold a college degree in education, science, or related area.

Toledo GROWs – Job Coach

Toledo GROWs, the community garden outreach of Toledo Botanical Garden, is seeking a qualified leader to join our diverse community gardening and urban agriculture team as a Job Coach.

This is a part-time position, 20 hours per week. This position is funded through a partnership with the Lucas County Department of Juvenile Justice, and will work with another Job Coach to oversee the court’s CITE (Community Integration and Training for Employment) clients as they receive job skills training at Toledo GROWs within the platform of community gardening and urban agriculture. Qualified applicants will have experience working with delinquent youth, as well as carpentry and building/property maintenance skills.
