OUTDOOR CEREMONY SITES:

Pond Gazebo | $500 | 100 guests | 10 am – 2 pm or 3 pm – 7 pm
A green grassy knoll and a charming pond, complete with a flowering water plants, surround this gazebo. Located in our Shade Garden, this enchanted site is perfect as you exchange wedding vows.
This site may be rented for 2 hours Monday – Thursday for $350 / excluding holidays.

Small Park w/ Arches | $500 | 350 guests | 10 am – 2 pm or 3 pm – 7 pm
This steel “urban-ique” sculpture offers a modern backdrop for your wedding ceremony.

Lake Lawn | $500 | 200 guests | 10 am – 2 pm or 3 pm – 7 pm
This area is nestled amongst a relaxing stream, the gorgeous Perennial Garden and weeping willows. A wedding held here will have delightful views all around!
This site may be rented for 2 hours Monday – Thursday for $350 / excluding holidays.

Grand Allée | $500 | 500 guests | 10 am – 2 pm or 3 pm – 7 pm
Our largest ceremony site offers open space and is flanked by rows of beautiful Silver Linden trees. A charming gazebo adds to the ambiance.
This site may be rented for 2 hours Monday – Thursday for $350 / excluding holidays.

Perennial Garden | $1,500 | 100 guests | 10 am – 2 pm or 3 pm – 7 pm
Our most intimate ceremony site consists of show-stopping scenery and elegant sculptures. The tranquil serenity of this Garden is perfect for a memorable wedding ceremony.
Discounted rates do not apply to this wedding site.

 

OUTDOOR RECEPTION SITE:

Festival Lawn | $3,500 | 400 guests | 8 am – 11 pm
With extensive views of neighboring Sycamore Trees and the beautiful Small Park with Arches sculpture, this area is perfect for that special outdoor reception. You may rent this area along with the Small Park with Arches ceremony site for no extra cost.

Sycamore Allee | $3,500 | 500 guests | 8 am – 11 pm
Extensive views and a vast amount of space make this our most popular tented reception site.

 

INDOOR SITES:

Terrace Room | $500 for 4 hours | daily $1,200 | 80 guests
The Crosby Conference Center includes the Terrace and Stables Rooms, along with a small kitchen. The Terrace Room has large glass doors which provide a fantastic view of the Sycamore Allée. The charming brick patio can be set for cocktails, mingling and dancing. Free WiFi.
Winter rate (excluding holidays): November thru March – $350 for 4 hours

Stables Room | $200 for 4-hours | 25 guests
The Stables Room has windows overlooking our Herb Garden & Hosta Courtyard. If you’re looking for a small venue, this room is ideal. Free WiFi.
Winter rate (excluding holidays): November thru March – $140 for 4 hours

Garden Cottage | $300 daily | 15 guests
Surrounded by lush shade, this cottage is perfect for the bridal party’s preparation or a small bridal/baby shower. It’s equipped with a kitchen, enclosed porch, living room, dressing room and bathroom.
Winter rate (excluding holidays):  November thru March – $210

 

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

What time can we have our wedding?
Weddings are booked from 10 am – 2 pm or 3 pm – 7 pm.

What time can we have our wedding reception?
Wedding reception venues are rented from 8 am – 11:00 pm. We do not offer any pre- or post-event storage, set-up or decorating.

Can I tent my wedding site? We do not allow tents for ceremonies; receptions only.

Does TBG provide chairs or tents for our ceremony or reception?
No. We are solely a site rental.  Tents are not allowed for wedding ceremonies – only receptions. Please call Meredith Party Rentals (419-531-9977) or Toledo Tent (419-693-1383) for a chair and/or tent and table quote.  The prices listed on our website do not include these items. We do provide tables and chairs for the Terrace and Stables Rooms.

Does TBG provide wedding planning service?
We are solely a site rental and do not offer wedding planning or day-of services. The only day-of contact is for emergencies.

Can we use our own catering?
Yes. Renters using the conference center or our outdoor reception area may use any catering service they prefer. Caterers are not allowed to prepare food in our kitchen, as it is not commercial-grade. Outdoor grilling is okay, but only by a licensed caterer. We do not supply water or generators.

What if it rains?
We do not offer refunds due to rain. You may rent our Terrace Room as an alternate location, but most brides use their reception venue as a back-up for inclement weather.

Can we have alcohol?
Yes, but the renter must provide proof of liability insurance and follow all rules and laws.

How much liability insurance is required by the Garden for my event?
Renter shall maintain in force and provide proof of liability insurance in the limit of $1,000,000.  A copy of the homeowners insurance policy is acceptable evidence of the coverage.  If the lessee is a business hosting a public or private event, the Garden needs to be added as an additional insured.  A certificate of general liability insurance showing same is required as evidence of the coverage.

Can we have electricity and/or a deejay?
If electrical hook-ups are needed, reservation holder must use generator supplier from preferred vendors’ list or an appropriate licensed provider.  Music must be kept at reasonable levels and played no later than 11 pm in respect for TBG’s neighbors. Electricity at our outdoor reception site might incur additional charges from TBG and/or the tent rental company you choose.

Are there restrooms?
Yes. There are restrooms located in the picnic area and in the Crosby Conference Center. There are no restrooms south of Crosby Lake (Grand Allée area).

Do you rent golf carts to transport guests?
Yes.  The golf cart rental is $50 per hour and includes a TBG designated driver.

Do you rent wheelchairs? We do not have wheelchairs to rent.

How much money is due at the time of booking? If you are booking only a ceremony, we require full payment. For a ceremony + reception, we require 50% at the time of booking and the remaining 50% is due 30 days prior to the event. The ranger fee for receptions is also due 30 days prior to the event. There will be a $500 holding deposit for damages for all receptions.

Are there any additional fees? If you are having a tented reception, a park ranger MUST be on grounds during your event at an additional $50/hour.

When can I schedule my rehearsal?
Rehearsals are guaranteed Monday – Thursday. Friday rehearsals may be booked 30 days prior to your wedding if there are no other paid events taking place at the Garden.

What is your cancellation policy?
Refunds are given if event is cancelled 6 months prior to event with the refund equaling 50% of payment. In the event of cancellation less than 6 months prior to the event, no refund will be given. Refunds are not provided due to inclement weather (unless garden is closed for weather emergency).

May I use signs to direct my guests? You may only use lawn signs 24″ x 18″ or smaller on metal h-frames. We ask that you only use a maximum of 5 signs.

What don’t you allow at TBG?
Because we are a botanical garden, no pets or animals, including horse-drawn carriages, are permitted in TBG at any time, except for service animals.  There are no exceptions or allowances to this rule. We do not allow indoor smoking; hanging signage, decorations, or lights on garden displays (including any garden structures, artwork, trees, plants, flowers, bushes, etc.); shepherd’s hooks; the use of glitter/confetti; releasing of birds, balloons, rice, bird seed, flower petals, etc. Candles may be used in enclosed containers. Also, parking is not allowed on grass, walkways, or trails.
